Arlington National Cemetery

I recently had the honor of visiting Arlington National Cemetery, the final resting place of over 400,000 military veterans. I’ve always been grateful for the sacrifices that our servicemen and women have made, so I was eager to pay my respects to those who have fallen.

I started my visit by visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. I was impressed by the precision and solemnity of the changing of the guard ceremony, and I thought about the unknown soldiers who have given their lives for our country.

After visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, I explored the rest of the cemetery. I walked through the rows of white headstones, each one representing a life that had been lost in service to our country. I was particularly moved by the section of the cemetery where the victims of the 9/11 attacks are buried.
