Mystic Seaport

The Mark Twain House & Museum

I’m a big fan of Mark Twain‚ so I was excited to visit the Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford. The museum is located in the house where Twain lived for 17 years‚ and it’s filled with his personal belongings and memorabilia.

I started my tour in the library‚ where Twain did most of his writing. The library is lined with bookshelves‚ and there’s a desk in the center of the room where Twain wrote some of his most famous works‚ including The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

I also visited Twain’s bedroom‚ which is decorated in the Victorian style. The bed is covered with a quilt that Twain’s wife made‚ and there’s a fireplace in the corner of the room.

One of the most interesting things I saw at the museum was Twain’s billiard room. Twain loved to play billiards‚ and he even had a billiard table installed in his house. The billiard room is also decorated with some of Twain’s own artwork.

Gillette Castle State Park

I recently visited Gillette Castle State Park in East Haddam‚ Connecticut‚ and I was blown away by its beauty. The castle is a replica of a medieval fortress‚ and it’s perched on a hilltop overlooking the Connecticut River.

The Beardsley Zoo

I recently visited the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport‚ Connecticut‚ and I had a great time. The zoo is home to over 300 animals from all over the world‚ and I was able to see many animals that I had never seen before.

I started my visit by checking out the zoo’s African Rainforest exhibit. This exhibit is home to a variety of animals from the African rainforest‚ including gorillas‚ chimpanzees‚ and okapis. Lake Compounce

I recently visited Lake Compounce in Bristol‚ Connecticut‚ and I had a blast. Lake Compounce is the oldest continuously operating amusement park in the United States‚ and it’s still one of the best.

I started my day by riding the Boulder Dash roller coaster. This wooden roller coaster is one of the most popular rides at the park‚ and it’s easy to see why. It’s fast‚ it’s thrilling‚ and it’s a lot of fun.

After riding the Boulder Dash‚ I checked out some of the other rides at the park. I rode the Wildcat roller coaster‚ the Sky Ride‚ and the Giant Wheel. I also spent some time playing games in the arcade.

In addition to the rides and games‚ Lake Compounce also has a variety of other attractions‚ including a water park‚ a beach‚ and a campground. I spent the afternoon swimming in the water park and relaxing on the beach.
