McAllister Park

McAllister Park is a 960-acre park located in the northwest side of San Antonio. The park is home to a variety of hiking trails, ranging from easy to difficult.

I recently hiked the 3-mile Bluebonnet Trail, which is one of the most popular trails in the park. The trail is well-maintained and easy to follow, and it offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

I started my hike at the trailhead on McAllister Park Road. The trail begins by winding through a forest of oak and cedar trees. After about a mile, the trail emerges from the forest and enters a field of wildflowers. The wildflowers were in full bloom when I hiked the trail, and they were absolutely beautiful.

The trail continues through the field of wildflowers and then enters another forest. The trail is mostly flat and easy to walk, but there are a few short, steep hills.
After about 2 miles, the trail reaches the summit of McAllister Peak. The peak offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. I took a break at the summit to enjoy the views and have a snack.
After my break, I continued on the trail. The trail descends from the peak and then follows a creek back to the trailhead.

I recently hiked the 2.5-mile Creek Trail, which is one of the most popular trails in the park. The trail is well-maintained and easy to follow, and it offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

I started my hike at the trailhead on Pearsall Park Drive. The trail begins by winding through a forest of oak and cedar trees. After about a half mile, the trail emerges from the forest and enters a field of wildflowers. The wildflowers were in full bloom when I hiked the trail, and they were absolutely beautiful.

The trail continues through the field of wildflowers and then enters another forest. The trail is mostly flat and easy to walk, but there are a few short, steep hills.
