places to visit in massachusetts in fall

I was lucky enough to spend a fall in Massachusetts, and I can tell you that it’s a truly magical time to visit. The leaves are turning vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow, and the air is crisp and cool; I visited some of the most popular fall destinations in the state, and I’m sharing my favorites with you here.

The Berkshires

I started my fall foliage road trip in the Berkshires, a beautiful region in western Massachusetts known for its stunning mountain scenery and charming towns. I drove along the Mohawk Trail, a scenic byway that winds through the heart of the Berkshires, and stopped at several overlooks to admire the breathtaking views of the fall foliage. The colors were so vibrant and the air was so crisp and clean. It was the perfect way to start my fall adventure.

In addition to the natural beauty, the Berkshires are also home to a number of cultural attractions. I visited the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, which houses the largest collection of Rockwell’s original paintings and illustrations. I also took a guided tour of The Mount, Edith Wharton’s historic home in Lenox. Both of these attractions were well worth a visit, and they gave me a deeper appreciation for the rich history and culture of the Berkshires.

This historic inn is located in the heart of the town and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful stay at the Red Lion Inn, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Berkshires.
