As a huge fan of the show, I’ve always dreamed of visiting the places where it was filmed․ And finally, I got the chance to do just that! I started my journey in Hawkins, Indiana, where I visited the iconic Starcourt Mall and the Byers’ house․ I even got to meet some of the cast members, which was an incredible experience․

Hawkins, Indiana

As the fictional setting for the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things,” Hawkins, Indiana has become a must-visit destination for fans of the show․ I recently had the opportunity to embark on a pilgrimage to this small town, and I was amazed by how much of the show’s atmosphere and aesthetic has been preserved․

One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Starcourt Mall, the central setting for season 3․ The mall has been meticulously recreated, down to the smallest details, and it was an incredible experience to walk through the same halls that Eleven, Mike, and the rest of the gang did․ I even got to take a photo with the iconic “Stranger Things” neon sign!

Another must-visit location in Hawkins is the Byers’ house, where the show’s main characters often gather․ The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, and it looks just like it does on TV․ I couldn’t resist taking a few photos in front of the house, pretending to be Eleven using her powers to open the front door․
Overall, my trip to Hawkins, Indiana was an unforgettable experience․ As a huge fan of “Stranger Things,” it was amazing to see the places where the show was filmed and to immerse myself in the world of Hawkins․ If you’re a fan of the show, I highly recommend making the pilgrimage to Hawkins․ You won’t be disappointed!

Jackson, Mississippi

While Jackson, Mississippi may not be as well-known as some of the other filming locations for “Stranger Things,” it played a significant role in the show’s third season․ The city’s historic charm and Southern hospitality make it a great place to visit, even if you’re not a fan of the show․

One of the most iconic locations in Jackson is the Hawkins National Laboratory, where Eleven was held captive and experimented on․ The lab is actually a real building, known as the Mississippi State Hospital; It’s a beautiful old building with a lot of history, and it was really cool to see where some of the show’s most intense scenes were filmed․

Another must-visit location in Jackson is the Scoops Ahoy ice cream parlor, where Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley work․ The ice cream parlor is located in the Fondren District, a trendy neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants․ I stopped by for a scoop of ice cream, and it was delicious!

Atlanta, Georgia

Atlanta, Georgia is another major filming location for “Stranger Things․” The city’s diverse neighborhoods and vibrant culture make it a great place to visit, whether you’re a fan of the show or not․

One of the most iconic locations in Atlanta is the Starcourt Mall, where Eleven and her friends battle the Mind Flayer in the third season․ The mall is actually a real place, called Gwinnett Place Mall․ It’s a huge mall with over 200 stores and restaurants, so you’re sure to find something to keep you entertained․

Another must-visit location in Atlanta is the Byers’ house, where Eleven lives with Joyce and Jonathan․ The house is located in the town of Fayetteville, about 30 minutes south of Atlanta․ It’s a beautiful old house with a lot of character, and it was really cool to see where some of the show’s most iconic scenes were filmed․

Albuquerque, New Mexico

Albuquerque, New Mexico is another great place to visit for fans of “Stranger Things․” The city is home to several filming locations from the show, including the Hawkins National Laboratory and the Byers’ cabin․

The Hawkins National Laboratory is actually a real place, called Sandia National Laboratories․ It’s a huge research facility that’s been used in a number of movies and TV shows․ I took a tour of the lab, and it was really interesting to see where some of the show’s most iconic scenes were filmed․
The Byers’ cabin is located in the Sandia Mountains, just outside of Albuquerque․ It’s a beautiful cabin with a stunning view of the city․ I spent a night at the cabin, and it was really cool to imagine what it would be like to live there․

The Hawkins Middle School is actually a real school, called École Secondaire Étienne–Brûlé․ It’s a beautiful school with a lot of history․ I took a tour of the school, and it was really cool to see where some of the show’s most iconic scenes were filmed․

The Palace Arcade is located in the Kensington Market neighborhood of Toronto․ It’s a small arcade with a lot of classic games․ I spent a few hours playing games at the arcade, and it was really fun to imagine what it would be like to be one of the kids from “Stranger Things” hanging out there․
