My name is Claudia and I’m the author of the blog Coffee & Brunch. Because of my blog I’ve been exploring cafes and brunch places in Barcelona for almost 5 years. Also, since I love to make lists, you’ll find different types on my blog, from “Brunch with Terrace”, to “Healthy Brunch”, but also “Cafes

Here is a selection of some of my favorite spots:
Cafetería de la Fundación Gaspar – Carrer de Montcada, 25 – Born
Tues – Fri: 10am-8pm
Sitting in this cafe will make your day better simply by looking at the amazing architecture that
surrounds you. Most of the customers are tourists that don’t stay a long time and usually
there are no children around.
Frenesí – Carrer del Comte d’Urgell, 115 – Eixample Esquerra
This place is paradise for freelancers who are looking for a cafe to work in. The reason for this is

coffee, so it’s just perfect for coffee loving freelancers.
Itacate – Carrer del Comte Borrell, 107 – Sant Antoni
This café is perfect for those people who are looking for a place where they could have
healthy food option. This place is run by a young couple and they assure me that
freelancers are welcomed in their cosy cafe.
La Clandestina – Baixada Viladecols, 2 – Gòtic
Quite hidden in one of the small streets in the Gothic neighborhood, this place is open from
10am to 10pm and they are closed only on Tuesdays. You don’t have much natural light inside but
it’s cosy and quiet.
Laie – Carrer de Pau Clarís, 85 – Eixample Dreta
Mon – Sat: 10am – 9pm
It’s located on the first floor of the Laie Bookshop. It’s pretty big and has many tables in three
different spaces. There is also a little terrace. If you like strong air conditioning in the summer, this is
