Average Paramotor Cost (With 21 Examples of New and Used Packages)
Paramotoring can be an expensive hobby to get into. With all the potential options of paramotors to buy, cost can be confusing to some potential buyers. How much money can one expect to spend when buying a paramotor?
The average cost of a Paramotor is $6,969. However, most paramotors you see online will be priced higher than this, as paramotor manufacturers selling new paramotors tend to be advertised more and rank higher on search engines than used paramotors.
The average cost of a new Paramotor is $8,111. About 55% of new paramotors fall within a $1,000 range of $8,000. There are a few outliers, but most new paramotors you see on the market will be between $7,000 and $9,000.
The average cost of a used Paramotor is $5,827. Most used paramotors cost around $2,300 less than the original pricing they were bought for, but the cost of used paramotors can be effected by how much their seller flew them, how old the model is, and whether or not the seller thinks they can get more than the paramotor is actually worth.
The qualities of a paramotor that raise the price of the given model tend to be how long that the paramotor can stay in the air, how much HP (horsepower) the paramotor’s engine has, and the material used in the cage and frame.
Let’s take a look at some of the paramotor models that are out there. These paramotors are good examples of manufacturers giving people what they are looking for in a flying experience, and are some of the most bought and sought after paramotors on the market.
Minari Paramotor – Minari 180cc engine with Clutch and Wooden 125cm Propeller
New Cost: $6,135
Used Cost: $4,995
Description: The Minari engine’s special qualities are that it’s is easy to start, idles nicely, and has a very smooth range of power. It has easy access to the mid-range thrust which is great for cruising. Rev this engine up to full power and you’ll experience one of the most powerful paramotor motors out there.
Boasting a 180cc engine, This paramotor can move quickly through the air, but also adjusts to new speeds rather well.
My Judgement: This is an incredibly cheap paramotor. With just how cheap it is, it raises some red flags. However, it has a 99.3% positive feedback rating on eBay for used models, so we can safely assume it’s trustworthy. This is actually one of the best deals for a paramotor out there right now. Though not as pristine as some of the other paramotors on this list, it will surely get the job done in Bristol fashion.

By only selling to those who are deemed to be “certified pilots”, the safety ratings of the Minari are drastically improved. Props to the seller trikebuggy for vetting his buyers, making sure they have the proper training, especially for a paramotor that is so cheap and affordable even those who haven’t invested time into training might consider buying it.

The Maverik Paramotor
Used Cost: ~$3,995 – $8,995
Description: Using a high-performance Titanium Alloy, Parajet engineers have provided users of the Maverick with a strong and light functional structure that delivers a remarkable flying experience. The Parajet Maverick will make sure you’re up there, escaping, in the simplest way you know how. At 10 liters of fuel, you can get a solid 2 -2.5 hours of flight on this well balanced flying machine.
My Judgement: The Maverik is a great paramotor, but they have very little in the way of personalization. From their website on the Maverik, they have this quote:
“Freedom is simple. Breathtaking Perfomance without the overwhelming choice- just grab your maverik and take flight!
Uncompromising quality and performance, blended with a simpler design; the Maverick offers even easier access to the incredible sport of Paramotoring. If you simply want to fly, get out there and explore the sky – the Maverick was designed with you in mind. Without broad engine or colour choices – just grab your Maverick and take flight.”
The Maverik seems to be lacking in the personalization department. The limited engine choice at least makes a bit of sense, but I like to choose the color of my own paramotors. It seems like they are trying to turn their lack of production versatility into a positive.
It’s a solid paramotor performance wise, but just keep in mind if you want to get this paramotor in a different color, be prepared to purchase some spray paint as well.

My Judgement: This is an A+ paramotor for flying at beaches or in peopled areas, and can work well in many different climates due to the engines cooling system. You should purchase the BlackHawk 90’s, because with it’s easy to pull start mechanism and centrifugal clutch, it has the perfect features for beginner pilots who desire the right balance between safety and performance.
It should be noted that it states on the BlackHawk website that “This engine recommended for all pilots who weigh under 190 lbs. (86 kg.)” It’s important to take warnings and suggestions like this that come straight from the manufacturers seriously.

BlackHawk AirMax 220 Paramotor

BlackHawk Banshee 190 4-Stroke Paramotor

Description: The BlackHawk Banshee 190 4-Stroke Paramotor is one of a kind. Built to be the highest performing and most fuel efficient paramotor in the 200 cc range, this paramotor boasts 140 lbs of thrust at 190 ccs
With a fuel tank that can hold 3.2 gallons of fuel (that size being doubled if bought with the trike), can travel for around 3.2 hours at it’s usual fuel consumption rate of 1 gallon an hour. With a max pilot weight of 250 lbs, and a duel cooling system of air and oil, this unique paramotor will not be one to disappoint.
My Judgement: 4-Stroke Paramotors have greater thrust and power potential, but are generally gas guzzlers. They tend to just be like 2 strokes that are packing heat. However, due to the innovations made by BlackHawk, this 4-Stroke is at the level where it stands head to head with other paramotors of any class. Though a bit pricey it’s definitely worth a check out if you want the biggest and baddest of the skies.

BlackHawk INTRUDER 250 EFI 4-Stroke Paramotor

Description: The BlackHawk Intruder 250 EFI 4-Stroke Patamotor was made specifically for pilots who want to go the distance. Cross country paragliding is the name of the game for this paramotor. With the same respectable fuel stats as the other 4-Stroke BlackHawk Paramotor, the Banshee 190, the Intruder 250 can stay in the air for 3.2 hours if you are using it without the quad set up, and 6.4 hours if you are using the double engine set up that the quad provides.
Using Electronic Fuel Injection, the Intruder 250 EFI 4-Stroke automatically monitors and adjusts it’s self for air density, thereby eliminating the need for constant carburetor adjustments. EFI also provides a smoother running engine, more power, and dramatically increases fuel efficiency. This combined with water cooling, puts this engine at a level unseen in Paramotoring before.
My Judgement: Though it is a tad touchy about maintainance, and needs an oil change ever 25 hours of flight, this paramotor is great for anyone looking to go cross country paramotoring. With it’s automatic electric fuel injection and self regulation, this mean lean flying machine is ready to take on any challengers to a long distance race, it’s self regulation in flight giving it an edge on 2-stroke paramotors everywhere in both the air, and on the ground with manufacturers suggesting an engine rebuild every 500 hours which is unheard of for 2-stroke paramotors.
BlackHawk 10kW Outrunner Electric Paramotor
New Cost: $14,645 (Package Deal = $16,195, including the BlackHawk AMP Electric Paramotor, Velocity Elektra Paraglider, and the 2 Year BlackHawk Standard Warranty)
Used Cost: ~$8,500
Description: Electric Paramotors are often disappointing, so the BlackHawk 10kW Outrunner Electric Paramotor, constantly ready to go and low maintenance is a pleasant surprise, and truly the cream of the crop. Costing mere pennies to operate, and practically no maintenance, it’s perfect for those unplanned flights that just sort of seem to happen.
With charge times of 2-3 hours, and getting around an hours of flight with every charge, with around 1000 cycles of battery life in it, that’s 1000 hours of prepaid fuel before you need to buy another battery.
With a quiet motor (49 dB at 200 feet), and giving a thrust of 120 lbs, this paramotor comes with a digital display, showing motor speed, battery life, voltage, used and remaining flight time, temperature, and many more useful widgets.
My Judgement: Though incredibly expensive at it’s initial purchase, and having a low flight time, this paramotor more than pays it self back over the years of fuel not paid for, and it’s practically maintenance free. This is the perfect paramotor to pull out for a joyride whenever you feel like it, without needing to worry about the constant maintenance even if you aren’t using it. Buy this is you want a low maintenance top notch electric motor.
Flat Top Ninja Paramotor
New Cost: $7,300
Used Cost: ~$6,600
Description: The Flat Top is promoted by Dell Schanze, who some people in the paramotor industry have issues with.
You can expect 2 – 4 hours of flight from the Flat Top Ninja. With intuitive weight shift steering capabilities, and face plant protection from the comfort bars (for when you are aren’t quite the ninja yourself when trying to launch), the capabilities of the Flat Top Ninja are nearly endless.
With 185 ccs and max HP of 29.5, the Flat Top Ninja packs a punch with it’s 200+ lbs thrust, and can reach heights of 18,000 ft. More impressive still, the Ninja has a weight capacity that is astronomical, comfortably flying anyone from 100 – 550 pounds.
My Judgement: We caution the purchase of a Flat Top. This engine and the company surrounding it has a checkered reputation in the paramotor industry. Personally, we don’t come down on either side of the debate, but will point you to do additional research on the Flat Top and Dell Schanze who markets it before purchasing.

Flat Top 200 Paramotor
New Cost: $6,995
Used Cost: ~$4,700
Description: Much like the Flat Top Ninja, the Flat Top 200 has built in safety capabilities such as the face plant protection. Still with 4.7 gallons of fuel and around 3 hours of flight, the 200 is practically the Flat Top Ninja, but cheaper. Though having less ability than the Ninja (196 lbs of thrust, 120 – 425 weight limit, and 25.5 HP) it is still in it’s own right, an incredible paramotor that still stacks higher than most others.
The Flat Top 200 weights 65 lbs, and has an electric start to the motor. The motor, like the Ninja is incredibly silent, and the 202 cc motor packed by this paramotor is nothing to scoff at. The Flat Top 200 Paramotor can reach heights of 18,000 ft as well.
My Judgement: The Flat Top 200 Paramotor is one of the top tier paramotors out there, with incredible thrust and weight bearing. It’s like the Ninja, but slightly cheaper and with slightly lower stats. You should get the Flat Top 200 of you like the power and capability of the Flat Top Ninja, but want to save some money as well.

Flat Top 200 Super Paramotor
New Cost: $7,800
Used Cost: ~$5,500
Description: The Flat Top 200 Super is what happens when you take the Flat Top 200 Super, give it the ability of the Ninja, but decide to not give it as cool of a name. Once again, incredibly comparable to the ninja, it has a max HP of 30, has a thrust of 210 lbs, and can weigh from 140 – 500 lbs.
However, the Flat Top 200 Super is still comparable to the Flat Top 200. Both have a 202 cc motor, both weigh 65 lbs, and has an electric starter.
There are however overlaps between all of the previously mentioned Flat Top craft. All have 4.7 gallons of fuel for example. All three paramotors are stealthy and quiet as well.
However, the Flat Top 200 pulls ahead of even the Ninja in some areas.For instance, the Flat Top 200 Super can stay airborne for 3 – 6 hours, and the ceiling is 18,000+ ft, as opposed to the 18,000 ft cap placed on both the Flat Top 200 and Ninja.
My Judgement: Though slightly more costly than the Ninja, there is a bit more raw ability to back it up. The thing that gives it a leg up on the other Flat Top paramotors (or any other paramotors for that matter) is it’s insane flight time. I’d suggest this as potentially the best paramotor on this list as far as sheer statistics go.
You should purchase this paramotor for it’s raw ability and capabilities. Though you will need skill to handle a paramotor this powerful, learning to channel the raw potential energy of the Flat Top 200 Super is well worth it.

Flat Top EVO Paramotor
New Cost: $7,900
Used Cost: ~$5,600
Description: This Flat Top Paramotor is comparable with the others that have been mentioned before. It can hold has 4.7 gallons of fuel, can fly 2 – 4 hours, and like the Flat Top 200 Super has an electric starter, can fly 18,000+ feet into the sky, and has a pilot weight of 140 – 500 lbs.
What sets the Flat Top EVO Paramotor apart is it’s slight dominance of power. It’s got a 230 cc motor, a Max HP of 33, and is able to get a thrust of 215 lbs. This slight increase of power can mean a lot depending on the winds you want to fly in.
My Judgement: This is a stellar paramotor, and should be recognized as such. With as much power as this engine has, it’s sure to be able to get you through rough winds. Though the Flat Top 200 Super has the prize for longest lasting time, you may be looking for something with a bit more kick to it. Personally, I prefer the lasting power of the Flat Top 200 Super, but I’d suggest buying the Flat Top EVO paramotor if you are looking for that final edge of power to tame the wild winds, or that extra bit of thrust to expertly conduct some acro.

Flat Top 120 Paramotor

The ceiling for the Flat Top 120 Paramotor is 10,000 feet, and it’s pilot weight limit is between 90 lbs and 280 lbs.
My Judgement: The Flat Top 120 is a far less powerful motor than some others on this list. However, it’s also one of the cheaper ones. This paramotor is a good choice because you get your moneys worth. You can spend a potential 5 hours flying the Flat Top 120 around the sky, which is more than you can say for some of the more expensive paramotors on this list.

Flat Top MZ 313 Paramotor
Used Cost: ~$4,500
Description: With a whopping 313 cc motor, the Flat Top MZ 313 gets 30 HP and 140 lbs of thrust. With the Flat Top standard 4.7 gallons, this paramotor can get 2 to 4 hours of flight every time. Along with this decent air time comes the handy dandy electric starter.
The ceiling of the Flat Top MZ is 10,000 ft, the pilot weight limit is 140 – 260, so a it more restrictive than the Flat Top 120, but still decent.
My Judgement: This motor is more powerful than the Flat Top 120, and it’s got decent lasting time. I’d suggest this paramotor to anyone who wants a straight up good deal on a paramotor. It’s not the absolute best motor out there, but it’s one of the good ones to be sure. With more power, and by virtue of being product of Flat Top engineering, than most, this paramotor is a great and trustworthy choice.

Flat Top Rotary Paramotor
New Cost: $10,200

Description: The Flat Top Rotary Paramotor is set apart by its ridiculous amount of Horsepower, sitting at a solid 48 HP. It’s what makes this paramotor so expensive, and so fun. The high horsepower translates well into thrust, 215 lbs of thrust to be precise. With its ceiling being on par with the Ninja, and it’s power a solid 15 HP greater than the Flat Top EVO, this paramotor is one to consider when looking to buy an absolute beast.
Following typical Flat Top fashion, the Flat Top Rotary Paramotor has the standard 4.7 gallons of fuel, can run for about 2hrs – 3.5hrs, and like the other Flat Tops is incredibly quiet while you fly it. You won’t be let down by this behemoth. Weighing in at a staggering 76 lbs itself, it can carry pilots weighing anywhere from 140 lbs – 500 lbs.
My Judgement: I think that this paramotor is a great choice when finding a paramotor that delivers the best Flat Top Rotary has to offer. If you want all the statistical ability a paramotor could have, this is the one to get. Heavy, and with the horsepower to back it up, there’s a reason the Flat Top Rotary is so expensive. It’s because it’s so darned good at everything. This is the best that Flat top Rotary has to offer, and they don’t dissapoint.

My Judgement: A paramotor that’s this light is something to always be on the watch for, especially one with this much power behind it. I’d suggest this paramotor for those who struggle with carrying a lot of weight. Taking off with a paramotor can be difficult at times, but the Scout EOS Booster Carbon Fiber paramotor can help those who struggle with the weight to lift off successfully.
SCOUT Carbon Paramotor 185

Description: The Scout is a great paramotor with some innovative safety designs. It weights 53 lbs, and can get up to 25 HP. If’s fuel tank can hold up to 3.17 gallons of fuel, and other engines besides the Vittorazi Moster 185 can be installed (but only with left turning props).

MiniPlane ABM Paramotor

Description: Simplicity and incredible weight shift capability sums up the MiniPlane ABM quite nicely. The MiniPlane paramotor frame is very light weight yet strong enough for power forwards. Combined with the Top 80 motor, it only weighs 43lbs and packs 15 hp to boot.
My Judgement: This is a great product for pilots on a budget that want something light weight and simple. There are a few safety concerns with this paramotor, for example the open cage could lead to an accident. However, there are always safety concerns with paramotoring. This is a good product, and you should consider it if you are looking for something cheap but worth the money you do spend.

Parajet Zenith Moster Plus 185 Paramotor

My Judgement: This is a prime example of a standard paramotor. If you want a paramotor without any special quirks or abilities, and want the vanilla flying experience, this paramotor is if you.
It’s well balanced in it’s capabilities and limitations, and is a good idea for a purchase if you want something that’s not too fast, not too slow, not to heavy, not too light, not too dangerous, but not to restrictive either.

These are decent statistics, and you should consider buying the Parajet V3 Moster Plus 185 if you like the normalcy of epicness that comes with the Moster Engine, combined with the compactness and transportability of the Volution 3 parajet.
